Prior to joining the City of Winter Haven, Adams worked with the City of Lakeland for more than 16 years, serving as a recreation supervisor and an assistant superintendent of recreation. She will also serve as a liaison with community partners and organizations to ensure there is a consistent connection and ongoing advancement of department services. This includes city-sponsored recreational activities, athletic programs and special events overseeing Willowbrook Golf Course, the Winter Haven Public Library and the AdventHealth Fieldhouse and guiding the management of day-to-day operations at a variety of city community centers, public parks and green spaces and cemeteries. Michael Stavres, Adams will work with the city’s recreation team to continue offering quality leisure opportunities for all citizens.
